In-House Alterations

In-House Alterations

After finding the wedding dress of your dreams, it’s important to alter the dress to fit you perfectly! From changing a few things to suit your style a bit better to ensuring the gown itself fit correctly, alterations are a key part of the process. At Wendy’s, our in-house alterations department can take care of every alteration needs you have. Our seamstresses have been working in the industry for over 20 years, bringing years of experience and knowledge to each gown to ensure every bride’s experience at Wendy’s is flawless.

To ensure everything is exactly as it should be for your wedding day, we recommend allowing at least 3 months for alterations. Our seamstresses need time to ensure quality, and you’ll need to come in multiple times for fittings so we’re sure things fit perfectly. Every wedding dress needs alterations, whether it’s hemming the dress to length you need, tightening a strap, or other simple, minor changes you need to make so that you don’t have to worry about fit or any wardrobe mishaps on your wedding day.

Depending on your dress and your taste, you may even want to further customize your wedding dress—and we can do that as well! Our talented seamstresses can add or remove sleeves from your dress, change your neckline, and take care of almost everything you’d want to customize, no matter how complicated it may seem. For brides who’ve fallen in love with a dress but want a slightly different look, customization is a great option. If you choose to customize, keep in mind that it may take longer than 3 months for the process to be complete, as this is a more drastic change and needs time to be done well.

Depending on your alteration needs, this process ranges from $350 to $800 depending on degree of complexity, so consider the alterations you may want to make when looking at your bridal budget.

At Wendy’s, we’re proud to have our in-store alterations department readily available for our brides. This cuts out the middleman, and ensures you’re working with people who understand your wedding vision and exactly what you’re looking for. From your complicated customization dreams to simple fittings, having in-store seamstresses lets us provide the best experience for each bride.
